Winton
Trying to play a 173mb video fim on Windows Media player on my G4 Powerbook but it just comes out all jumpy and stops playing altogether. Always had problems with Media Player so re-installed version 9 for Mac OS X but to no avail. Anyone know whether I can transfer the file (currently a .wmv) into Quicktime or of any fix for this dreadful MS product..?
Rachel
If it's not using a WMV3 codec - go to http://www.videolan.org/and and grab the latest copy of VLC (0.8.4a) - the best open source media player out there. I've never had a problem with WMP9 - other than the fact that it, like all M$ software, tries to hammer the CPU up to 100% whenever it is run.
