Has my pc been infected by opening this page then?

Or does it only work if it's emailed to you? My AV software hasn't noticed anything yet. coffee.gifgrin.gif

Ah you see this is where its clever! It closes off a majorly important part of your hard disk, then digs a whacking great hole in your AV, buries a part and then fills the hole back in. Normally pretty badly. I'm surprised your AV hasn't picked up a big hump on the surface of your hard disk grin.gif

Hmm. I'll take the HD out and have a look. If I find the 'tell-tale hump', can I just dig the virus out with tweezers or something? grin.gif169144-ok.gif

Well, normally the proceedure is, close off the hard disk, dig out the virus and then leave it like that for a couple of weeks. When you're truly sick and tired of not being to access the hard disk via the usual route, the hole is filled back in, unfortunately still with the tell tale "hump" or sometimes a whacking great bad sector, best described as "a pothole" grin.gif169144-ok.gif
