Mogsy Posted January 29, 2006 Report Share Posted January 29, 2006 Hi, I hope you guys can help me, I've got a 2002 golf mk4 and it came with a radio cassette which worked perfectly but I wanted to get a cd/mp3 player so I bought a SONY cdx-gt200. When i got the unit it came with an ariel connector and a wiring adaptor which i used to connect it in. I thought the unit was working perfectly but every time i take the key out of the ignition the radio memory and clock reset themselves to their default settings. The only thing I can think of is that i need a different wiring connector, can anyone shed some light on this for me??? The other thing that seems strange is that i get very poor reception on MW and LW but perfect reception on FM, could this be to do with the same problem or do i need another fitting??? mb Posted January 30, 2006 Report Share Posted January 30, 2006 This has come up a lot recently - it is usually a case of swapping the yellow & red wires in the special adaptor Sony provide - the stereo will have written on it which wire should be paermanent live - just test first !
