Coolant temperature below 90 degrees after 30 min?

Hello boys and girls, smile.gif

Just noticed that the coolant temperature goes below 90 degrees Celsius even after a good driving time. I also noticed that this happens after turning ON or OFF the Climatronic instrument. It doesn't go above 90 degrees Celsius but I've seen it going down to about 75 degrees Celsius.

How much should I worry??

pugboy, yeah that's normal, but with my car lately it goes up to 90 or close even after a 30minutes to an hour drive. But like I said before If I play around with the climatronic instrument (ON/OFF or ECON/AUTO) goes to normal of 90. Now whether is the climatronic or the coolant sensor, I don’t know.

Hmmmm...Puzzled

This is very probably something to do with the coolant temperature sender being faulty. Apparently a relatively common fault on Passats but also something which is relatively easily and cheaply fixed. Do a search for temperature gauge, you should find my old thread regarding this which has some pretty useful info posted in it.
