kebamo
Hi, My girlfriend has a little Polo on a R plate, just had it serviced and the garage didn't reset the service reminder, been back 2 times now and each time they say they haven't got the correct tool to do the job, but call back next time i'm passing and they'll do it. Is this something i could do myself? Is there a special tool i would need to get? Thank you in advance
benjie
Try pressing and holding the mileometer reset button, turn the ignition on, then turn the clock button to choose the service you want to reset (OIL or INSPECTION), then turn the ignition off. That might work.
benjie
Weedle wrote this on another thread: "It is slightly different 1 push and hold odometer button for ten seconds 2 Turn on ignition while still holding button hey presto it should be reset any probs ill be happy to help" I'd go with that! kebamo
Thanks for all the help, tried every possible combination of every reply posted, even went and brought a haynes manual, manual says that the 98 ® requires a specialist tool to reset the display. Although after trying one of the posted solutions i have managed to change the display from reading "service" to reading "Oil" Strange
