My local garage has checked all the obvious stuff but believe that the whole instrument assembly needs replacing. Is this right and are they available second hand? Thanks folks. I've got similar problems with my 1999 Golf GTI (1.8T), the temperature gauge and fuel gauge are sitting at 0 and don't move. The buttons for the Multi-Function Idicator (scroll up and down, and reset button) don't work either. Any help would be much appreciated.
