Well each to their own and all that, but personally I think this reviewer is talking a load of dung.gif

Typical motoring press review IMO.

I test drove a MKIV and bought one, 2yrs later I drove a MKV and have now bought one... I buy cars on what I think of them, not what the motoring press think !

Yes a Scooby or Evo may be faster, but I know what I'd rather have.....

am going to pick up on 2 things from this guy's article.

1.) This is not the first time VW have mated DSG with a V6. Learn the VAG brand nob-end.

2.) The impreza does not soak up the bumps as well as the .:R (of course IMO) - as I have posted elsewhere the .:R actually feels lighter than the scooby to me even though it weighs more. The scooby leans more in corners and does not instill as much confidence as the .:R (again IMO). OK - he's right about something, the scooby is quicker.

I would be willing to wager he's driven neither the MkIV or MkV .:R's or the Scooby/Evo for any decent amount of time.

All are cracking motors, I reckon he drives a SsangYong or a Kia. crazy.gif

I suppose ti is all down to personal opinion but it does make you wonder how they differ so greatly. EVO did a group test on the MK IV R32 against the Cupra R, S3, Alfa 147 GTA and the Impreza WRX and guess which one came out tops. Yep the R32.

Don't get me wrong they will all pick up on the odd thing but overall most of the reviews I read came out on the positive side. 169144-ok.gif
