Ben
[ QUOTE ] after fitting a new air flow sensor toady at a cost of around £90 it has fixed any issues i had and now feels like a new car. when i asking at the audi parts desk if the air flow sensor is a problem with the s3 i was told "its a stock item!!" & the problem is "across the range" So all i can say is if you are experiencing irratic behaviour from your vag engine check / replace the air flow sensor [/ QUOTE ] I knew it On the early cars you can disconnect the wires to the sensor and run the car to see if goes better without the MAF doing the calculations - hence you may find out if the MAF is to blame. On the later cars this may cause the management light to come up on the dash. Cheers Ben
Ben
[ QUOTE ] Thanks for this info guys, I'm going to change my DV soon to try and rectify my "revs hanging" problem. On a few posts I've read about the Forge Eliminator DV, anyone have any comments on this particular DV? I dont want one that makes a boy racer sound, but wouldnt mind a little noise... [/ QUOTE ] Remember noise = boost, or lack of it as it vents it out of the system. Always makes me laugh when I hear some Jap car dumping 1 bar of boost out then having to wait for the turbo to produce it again! Keep to a valve that re-circs, one of Forges will be great, I've ran them on my A3, S3 and RS4 and had no issues what so ever - give Russell a bell Cheers Ben
