EPC light AND ENGINE OIL PROBLEM VW POLO 1.0

Took my absolutely fine car to the garage to change oil filter air filter and plugs. A week later noticed all the oil had drained into the engine due to a tube that was not attached back properly. Owner looked at it replaced the tube and put oil into it again.

Claimed it was done. Drove away and next day start to smell burning oil in and out side the car. took it back again. He says he there was too much oil in the tank. drains it to correct level. Drive off next day EPC light comes on.

Can any one tell without looking at the car what might have happened.
