b4d4t
Will it be enough if i lower the car to 40mm with 205/40/R17 as pictured below??? Thanks
Si_GTi
A 40mm drop will be the lowest you will be able to get the car on 17" alloys, they're really big for the wee Polo!! Even at -40mm you might find that you have trouble when you carry any kind of weight in the back (ie. passengers) and could find that the front tyres catch on full lock. If you want to go lower, then you will need to change to smaller alloys. 15" alloys are the preferred choice - could go up to -80mm with ease on 15x7 alloys with 195/45/15 - but you would be able to go to about -60mm with some arch work on 16" alloys if you preferred. Si_GTi
The later 6n2 "facelift" Polo (2000-2001) like my GTi has got more room under the arches than the earlier 6n model. Still big hassle running 17" wheels, 15"s is where its at Becky, have you had any arch work done? Oh, and welcome to TSN!
