malagus
looking at Z3s, I see that some have a chrome side vent into the wing, but alot don't. What does the chrome venty thing mean? is is a specail edition, sport, late model? if someone could tell me that'd be great - cheers.
NewNiceMrMe
There are an awful lot of Z3's with the chrome vents added - tacked on by owners wanting to make their cars look more blingy IMO (usually the 1.9 litre models producing 138bhp). I believe they were an accesory book option only and weren't actually fitted as standard to any of the cars. There were four models - the 1.9, the 2.5, the 2.8, the 3.0 and the Z3 M Roadster. malagus
cheers - I havent looked at the car yet, and we certainly won't be getting the gutless 4 pot. I dont thenk we'll get the M roadster either, but thats another matter. There was a nice 944 cab in may's 'the automobile' vary interested in that too... Thorburn
Our Z3 2.8 didn't, but a 1.9 we looked at did, fairly sure it was an optional extra as MrMe said. The Z3M had a different vent with a chromed strip through it.
