Meg's APC

Can anyone confirm that the APC (All purpose cleaner) that everyone loves is the big green 1 gallon bottle? Says on C&S and meguiars.co.uk that it is interior cleaner yet TSN'ers seem to use it everywhere?

Whats the deal on concentration levels with it? Can it be concentrated differently for different tasks etc?

Yeah I love this stuff. I got a sample sent to me while ago and I find it great for cleaning under the arches and around the bottom part of the car.

Thanks JD, will see about putting that on my ever growing C&S order that I may soon place. Saw reference on detailingworld to an Aldi APC - Hmm... we have Aldi's in Dublin so might drop in and say hello

What do you use for getting in under the arches? The brushes I have just don't get in there and I always feel that getting the karcher in too close is going to do damage!

Yeah you just have to be careful with the dilution with the Megs APC.

I usually turn the front wheels to full lock which gives good access to the arches. I then just spray on some APC and then powerwash. I sometimes use a brush to get rid of the dirt. For the rears I just spray on some APC and power wash the dirt off. I think if you clean them every time you clean the car the dirt doesn't build up.

Have never tried the Aldi stuff, but would be interested to see if its any good.

Megs APC is a fantastic product, I use it everywhere, on carpets, dashboard, engine bay, wheel arches. You can use it on your alloys too, it is a great degreaser.

Dilute 10 parts water to 1 part APC. One US gallon for around £11 should last a very very long time!
