jon79f
Hi, I changed the battery in my remote control yesterday, and followed the manuals instructions to the letter. Car is a 2000 Saab 93 Convertible. However now the remote will not lock/unlock the doors or boot. Does anyone know the process to get the car to recognise the remote once this has occured. I would really appreciate any assistance. Cheers,
NewNiceMrMe
Was the battery definately dead, i.e. did the locking get to be intermittent or did it just stop working suddenly before you changed the battery? I ask because Saab 93's had a keyfob problem. Soldering on the inside of the fob would break, leading to the unit failing. It's simple to repair as soon as the unit is open. jon79f
No the remote was working fine, but I got the message on the SID "change battery remote". This is the only reason for the change. Could I have damaged the circuits when I changed the battery? I was very careful.
