sayerbloke
Hi there. What sort of money do you think you'd be looking at for routine stuff [brake pads/discs, filters, etc] on something like a 90s FTO, Scooby, Nissan 200sx, cars like those? I'm guessing cheaper than a BMW but more expensive than a Vauxhall. What are your thoughts/experiences, TSN?
garcon magnifique
You're guessing about right. Can't honestly remember prices on my Impreza, but that's seven or eight years ago now anyway. It's worth bearing in mind something like the Scooby goes through consumables (tyres, pads, discs, petrol...!) pretty quickly - probably quicker than, say, a 330i. steffiraf
Flipping expensive if you go to a dealer(stealer?) but if you know a man who can, then it's very reasonable. Scoobs are way cheaper than an Evo, but expensive non the less. Depends on what you choose. Not much help i know, but, scoobs, evos, rs's whatever, are always gonna be big bucks
kerbside
Mitsubishi and Subaru dealers are expensive for anything. I'd say dearer than BMW. Nissan are more sensible for service and consumable parts but just as dear for everything else. Nowadays there are too many reasonably priced specialists who sell decent stuff for far less than the dealer.
