Servicing my A4 2.0 20v

My car is just about due for a service but I am reluctant to pay Audi a huge sum of money for the privilege. It has done just under 120K so I can't see that it will affect the resale value much if I keep the receipts for parts, and in any event, I plan to keep the car for a lot longer yet.

So, apart from the obvious things such as oil/air filters, oil, plugs, pollen filter, what else would I need to do a major service?

How easy is it to get to the plugs (assume there are coil packs)? And what type of oil filter is fitted - cartridge type or element?

Any help would be much appreciated.
