HI,

just about to make a purchase of a 2003 03 r32 in black just wondered

1) does the factory sat nav have europe and if so is it just main roads or minor too.

2) if driven well (enjoyed) how long till most need a new clutch

3) is there any way of knowing if it has had the 6364 upgrade

4) for everyday driving is the standard exhaust best or do the miltek etc drone etc

cheers

J

I think I'm right in saying that the Milltek cures a droning problem on the MKIV smile.gif

- oddly on some of the MKV's it actually causes a drone instead crazy.gif

1. Sorry dont have satnav on mine

2. Depends on your gear changes i suppose. Mine is a 53 plate and ive had it nearly 2 years and the last service showed no wear or tear despite some "spirited" driving !

3. A VWFSH should show if the 6463 has been applied (as its free under warranty) but if you arnt experiencing any sluggishness when accelerating (especially in 3rd gear) then it may be a good sign that its been applied.

4. Ive not changed the standard exhaust as it never been a problem to me. Around town its got a fantastic noise and on the motorway there is a droan at between 60 - 80 but i happen to like it. Some people hate it and change to the Miltek which gets rid of this but as is say i like the noise.

Hope this helps mate ECLIPSe.gif

1. Satnav comes with UK CD, so to cover Europe you would need to buy the appropriate CD (70 per country)see here

2. Haven't heard of anyone chewing through clutches so imagine it is OK

3. see above

4. I found the standard exhaust to drone & so fitted a silenced miltek - it got rid of the drone & the pipes fill the bumper cutouts a lot better + it annoyed me the way only one exhaust was open - noise is fantastic with either !

I would say that condition is more important than mileage (within reason). If you're looking at cars with 30k+ miles on them, you'll have plenty to choose from for £17k or less. I'm not sure that the brakes would really add any second-hand value to the car, so I wouldn't pay more for it than for one with standard brakes, myself. 169144-ok.gif
