My cars just gone strange on the way home frown.gif anyone any ideas as to what might be up with it ?

Just started juddering whilst i was sat thier on the phone before id even set off. Got out and looked round the car and it was kind of making a chugging sound consistant with the rocking as i was sat in it.

Drove it back home (luckly only a short distance) and it was persistanly juddering and had a significant reduction in power. Got out when i got home and it smelt like something was burning from outside, couldnt pin point the smells origin tho frown.gif ...

Ive had the coil packs go before and got them replaced by Audi under guarantee, this was very similar but not as intense (yet!). The car would bearly move when the coil packs went, but this time its like a mild case of something similar?!?!?! anyone any ideas?!?!?!

I think i must be cursed! lol

I rang Audi last night, this morning at 9, again at 11.. each time told me no one was available and that my call was logged and someone would call me back... tis now nearly 4, and still no call... and when they do call they will no doubt tell me they cant fit it in until late next week frown.gif

They just dont seem to appriciate that its a real f'kin pain when your car is dead... Like i only have an S3 cos it looks good on my drive - i have a camel in the garage i use to get about lol

Yes, it was indeed just the 1 ignition coil this time rather than how ever many went last time.

Thanks for everyones assistance, and spot on diagnostics! Invaluable help guys, thanx!

... no idea why my coil packs seem to break all the time tho?!?! cars been spot on apart from them going on a regular basis. Is thier something i could be doing that affects the wear of these? - i do drive quite a few short distances around my village...
