Ok people this is a proper warning for you all.

If you are out and about in the future driving please be very very aware of what lorries are around you.

I have been informed that there have been 9 accidents in the last 2 weeks involving Nightfreight lorries.

I really xcant stress this enough the people they hire dont give a dung.gif about you or your cars or bikes they are only interested in getting to there drop off point.

If you see a nightfreight lorry make sure your extra careful as they have a tendency to do things you would never expect. We have been informed that one has taken out a stationary vehicle while turing a corner, 2 have been involved in accidents on roandabouts 4 have been involved in head on collisions where they have either tried to overtake something or have just pulled across the oncoming cars path and the final 2 have driven into buildings. I would highly recomend that you stay well clear of them and dont under any sercomstance try and overtake them.

You many never be heard from again. EEK2.GIF

Can I stress that a lot of Nightfrieght is independently owned by franchisees, and the whole company isn't going to be to blame.

It's a very silly thing to suggest that every driver within any organisation is a twit. A driver is an individual, and as such they are not governed by a brand and I wouldn't expect the fact that they are employed by the same national franchise would make them all ridiculously stupid drivers.

This much is true, however, from my experience the vast majority of them are poor drivers. I'm not sure if they have more drops/pick ups than other firms, but they nearly always drive very fast in our area.

We were getting around 10% damage rate on what we sent, most of which was damaged in transit! We didn;t use them for long...

I don't know, I can't think I've ever seen a DHL van being driven sensibly and with consideration for other road users. I've nearly been wiped out by several though.

Perhaps it's part of their interview process: "Can you drive like a total maniac?"

Driving home yesterday we nearly got taken out by a tanker of some sort that joined a roundabout off the dual carriageway without looking and then, whilst indicating left, from the left lane, decided he'd rather go right so cut across the whole thing, bringing traffic in both directions to a total standstill. How the guy behind us avoided getting T-Boned I'll never know.

I see it every day. One guy today indicated right at a two lane roundabout entrance, so I went straight on in the left lane, only to find that he was actually going straight on, and he cut straight into me. Bearing in mind I've only just picked my car back up, I was furious. But there's no point in getting mad, either the twunt didn't know he'd done anything wrong, or he didn't care.

Sorry i should have been specific and stated that the Nightfreight GB depots in Norwich and Ipswich are using very inept drivers.

Yes lots of other companies probably do to but i dont see the same drivers coming back every day with fresh damage on their vehicles like i do with Nightfreight. If i did i would have been more general. Yes delivery drivers on the whole are a bit mad with some manovers but i bet DHL parcelforce and other such delivery companies dont have as much damage per driver on goods in transit and vehicles as Nightfreight.

All this has come from working beside them and with them for 4 years. You can take it with a pinch of salt or you can believe what i say its entierly up to you. I posted this to give people a heads up about the dodgy behaviour of a company and try and be helpful so people that do have nice cars can keep them that way. 169144-ok.gif
