R4V_S3
So i cannot get rid of this fault code on my S3: Address 22 ------------------------------------------------------- Controller: 02D 900 554 B Component: HALDEX LSC ECC 0006 1 Fault Found: 65535 - Internal Control Module Memory Error And have decided to bite the bullet and get the performance upgrade, getting fitted at the TT shop at a deal that undercuts AMD by a huge anount!! Now before i go and get this done (booked in, in 2 weeks) is there anything else it could be? would you recomend a 2nd hand OE Haldex controller? Will i REALLY notice the difference? Thanks, Rav
kermitfrog
Had HPP fitted earlier this year and tbh, not a lot of difference from standard imo. Really thing you need to be caning it (or on a trackday) in order to exploit the full benefit of the little blue box of tricks. Try and clear the fault code and invest in some uprated ARBs instead if you want to feel a difference in terms of handling
R4V_S3
Thanks for the response! Can't clear the faults as there is an error with the memory.. so most people have said it needs changing. Did you make the upgrade out of choice? most reviews i have read said its a lot better.. bantam
I think the uprated controller is a good mod - subtle (and you'll forget it's there) but good. If you want a cheap secondhander I've got one hanging around doing nothing! Regards, B
kermitfrog
A generous friend bought it for me as a b/day present Honestly, can't say that I've noticed a great deal of difference. Think that it requires your driving style to be 'enthusiastic' in order to feel the real benefits of the HPP. Wonder if the fault would clear if you disconected the Haldex controller or it's fuse, started/stopped the engine and then reconnected things? R4V_S3
Hey B, I have been told by Fontain, AMD and TT shop to stay away from 2nd hand as they said you never know when they will go! I was considering this though! Can you PM me a price please dude? Thanks
