DNay Posted October 24, 2006 Report Share Posted October 24, 2006 Noticed that one of my rear windows does not wind down as far as the other. It goes about halfway and stops. It seems to move up and down as freely as the one which opens fully,it closes fully no problem, there is no binding. Is there pinch protection on these cars that might need calibrating if so can some one advise what this process involves, or am I looking at a trip to the dealer to resolve. the car is a 2006 model. Tonight my rear electric window stuck half way as I was trying to close it!! Eventually managed to get it closed with a little pulling as my son flicked the switch. Is the motor knackered? MACH1 Posted October 27, 2006 Report Share Posted October 27, 2006 Got the same problem on all Audi's,The sensor for anti crush is very sensative, Try putting WD40 or similar even baby oil on the window side rubbers,this should cure your prob's. Struck all of the windows at various times and sometimes all at the same time, but only if it was raining! WD 40 etc works for a short time, but only attracts more dirt, so they get stuck again. Like EOLAIR, I think I'll just leave well alone for now (and tell the kids to leave well alone also!!). I've just 'dumped' my Rover 75 because of Head gasket problems and thought I'd bought a bullet proof motor in the Audi - seems like even the Germans produce cars with slight niggles. Hey ho.
