R32North Posted October 28, 2006 Report Share Posted October 28, 2006 Ok, so the "Service Due in...." message has popped up and I was wondering if anyone who has ahd their MKV serviced (long life) recently can tell me if it starts at 2000 or 1000 and how it counts down. My other VAG cars all popped up the message at 2000 miles and then counted down in 200 mile increments, but this one popped up at 1000 miles and is counting down in 100 mile increments. Plus when it 1st dropped from 1000 miles to 900 miles I had only driven 11 miles..... me thinks something may be wrong (I've to take it into VW so they can check it on VAG.com for any errors). I'm on variable and my dealer always puts it on 10K interval when they have done it (even though they deny this when asked at the time of paying). [/ QUOTE ] With reference to your question about the milage counting down too quickly, all I can suggest is that you had done a 'long' journey previous to this so the car had already began counting down before it had flashed up on the display when you next restarted the engine. _Tone_ Posted January 11, 2007 Report Share Posted January 11, 2007 I have had some different results on this. Orginally I got this at 2000 (before 1st & 2nd AVS) and it counted down every 100 miles. The last time it actually came up at 1200 miles which I thought was very strange.
