Ari
Welcome NTA! I sem to remember mine took about three months from ordering to delivery, although I ordered one of the very first 1.8T's (the day they became available to order in fact) and the car wasn't due to be launched in the UK till the following spring so whether that had anything to do with my wait I don't know. Have you gone for any other options other than the sport pack and leather? Saw a grey one at the dealers and it looked really good. Late October not so far away now! dodgy
[ QUOTE ] Hi - I am also an A4 cab owner-to-be but I've taken that step and ordered a 1.8T in Astra Grey with light grey leather and sport pack....but beware...I ordered the car on the 10th of July...it is being made in week 42 - "but Mr Dealer, that sounds very late in the year!" and I'll be tossed the keys in late October. A nice soft top ready for the winter. I suspect that because I knocked5-6% off the price by hard haggling they have sold my order to someone paying more. My sheepskin coated car dealer mates say that this is not uncommon. Good luck mate. [/ QUOTE ] I ordered mine at the end of July (around the 20th), for a build date in W38. Delivery in a couple of weeks (although it said 'early november' on my order form).
nickauctioneer
Hi Ari you look like an old hand at this forum chat. Impressive number of postings! Sorry but my list of extras is less impressive. Pearl knappa leather and cold glove box as well as the sport pack is the lot. My best mate has also ordered a 1.8T this week in silver but with no sport pack (bad choice) but just about every other extra!! He was told that the drive was very hard with the SP and only test drove a car without it. Also - should I be buying a wind deflector? Cheers N t A
Ari
Wind deflector an absolute must, especially at this time of year and especially especially without heated seats! Agree about your friend making an error going non sport pack (and I'm speaking as someone else who didn't go for the sport pack on mine!) if only for the lack of the sport seats. I feel the sport suspension is better than standard too personally, although thats subjective, but the sports seats are fabulous, loads better than the standard chairs! nickauctioneer
I'm also considering having a dvd system installedwhen the car arrives. Reading the good reviews on the bose system, maybe I should have stretched a bit further and had that fitted as an extra. We'll see. Is the standard single cd player pants ?? Ari
Standard CD palyer still has (if I recall correctly) nine speakers and 190 watts of power so still a good system I should think. HC's got the standard Concert/non Bose (but with a CD interchanger in the glovebox) so sure he can comment on this for you.
nickauctioneer
The DV player pics posted by Markl look v cool Searching online it loooks like an alpine system or similar is no cheaper than £1200. Maybe not 1200 quid worth of cool! N t A
