petsy
driving home today when my TPMS flashes up in the dash. I was only a mile or so from home so just drove on. On checking all the tyre pressures, one is 0.5psi lower than the rest which is consider is withing normal limits. I've just reset the monitor but wonder if you guys ever get an apparently "incorrect" warning...
Jack_is_Back
Not quite but mine did something odd the other day. I realised I hadn't ever checked the pressures with an accurate gauge, so got the thing out and set them all to 2.4 bar; none were miles out but all a bit up/down. I forgot to reset the sensor but 2 DAYS and 50 MILES later the warning went off! I checked the tyres again and they were all still at 2.4 bar. Delayed reaction or what! Wierd. Shadowman
I thought mine was a false alarm to start with but it did correctly highlight a slow puncture which turned out to be a nail. I had all my tyres set to 2.4 bar and the warning appeared when the damaged tyre had dropped to just over 2.0. That's a drop of around 15% - not sure how much tolerance you would call acceptable but, as I say, it worked for me.
gribs
Mine did it last week during the stormy weather. There was so much debris on the roads, it seemed quite plausible that I could have run over something. Checked the pressures and everything seemed normal. The last time it activated I did have a slow puncture caused by a nail. So I can know I can trust it, at least sometimes.
