Rear Electric Childlocks on C6

For those who have the C6, does the electrically operated childlock operates on both rear doors simultaneously, or they can be engaged independantly?

independent, switched from the electric window lock outs on the drivers door. Had me scratching my head for a while ubtil I re read the manual why the kids couldn't get out! I thought initially it just stopped them messing with the windows as it did in my previous cars. You also will have the traditional manual child locks on the door mechanism that you activate with the key blade.

How do u use the switch to control which door to engage?

press the appropriate button on the drivers door and it will illuminate a yellow/orange colour. the corresponding rear window will then not raise/lower from the switch on that rear door and the interior door handle will be disabled.

But how can u make, say, the right door to be child locked whereas the left door remains under normal operation? I have no access to an owner's manual yet.

Like I said press the appropriate button. there are two, one for each door.

oic, so left button for left door, & right button for right door. how abt the windows? can they be defeated independantly from the child lock?? asking cos the importer here wants to rip me off on the isofix package.

Whichever button is illuminated, both the interior door release and window are disabled. You cant disable the window independent of the electric door lock.

However, like I said in my first reply, there are traditional manual child locks fitted also. if you use these instead of the electric door locks, the rear windows will still operate from the rear switches.
