what came first, VW sat nav version G or A? ive been after the version G for a while because i thought this was the latest version but ive recently heard that version A is the latest. im confussed?

this is what ive been told by the guy whos offering me one:

"this unit is newer than the g version vw started with an A again. Normally these units are installed in the transporter or multivan but they will fit all other cars. a version has all functions like g version."

not sure of what else I can do with it.

I believe this the the Touran (from 1T, Golf is 1K) Colour CD version - does it fit the Golf OK ?
