I've seen posts relating to the A4 retrofit but wondered how easy it was to link the sensor kit into the MMI for the A6. Any knowledge appreciated, thanks. chriswhgrant Posted February 19, 2007 Author Report Share Posted February 19, 2007 I thought the standard kit from Audi was just for the sensors linked to the reversing lights (like the A4), not the mmi, I'd personally rather have the full mmi display if poss. If the full kit is 900 euros, then i need to try and fit it, then we're talking some serious dosh. I'll certainly make sure my next car comes with it, problem was it wasn't new when I bought it and didn't think anything of it at the time. I posted in technical but got no response, unfortunately I don't do german, and neither does my pc! craigyb Posted February 19, 2007 Report Share Posted February 19, 2007 I fitted one in the A8, it sort of works. But I have to turn off optical parking to get the camera to work. I don't know why yet. You need TV as the camera video feed goes into the control unit with a video input, having no TV option makes the camera impossible to fit unless you change controller 07 to one with fbas. (Video in) Two things to mention, Kufatec sell only part of the kit, you will need new trim for the boot lid and your camera will have to be calibrated to work correctly.
