fizzbitt
With regards to the BB thats good to hear as its the main thing i will be using it for but the free calls would be a great bonus. My wife has family over in Canada and according to that link its included in the list for free calls.

rhyds
The broadband side of orange is the old freeserve/wanadoo service, we've never had trouble at home with it, just the BT line itself.

[/ QUOTE ] That's a bit strong mush! Milo's problems with Orange Broadband are well documented on here if you choose to find it. You asked for opinions on Orange Broadband, Shark replied with common TSN knowledge, and all you can say is Bollox?
fizzbitt
ha.. i said bollox in the sense that im gutted to hear he has had bad dealings with them. not bollox as in i dont believe what has been said! I was hoping that they provided a good BB service matey thats all. I can totally agree that they customer service is crap as thats what i said above. I will deffo look it up using the search facility but later as im just in the process of purchasing my first house so thats taking up my time at the moment. nordberg
My parents have that exact package. What is not immiediately clear is that whilst all phone calls are free, the are all VOIP calls made through the Live Box. The problem this introduces is that you have your original BT phone line which is required for the Orange ADSL. The Livebox lives on an 0845xxxxxx number. So, it means you will most likely need two seperate phone; the one you've always had that people will continue to ring you on and the Livebox phone from which you will make your outgoing calls on. A bit of a pain in the arse really and only something I'd consider if I was a heavy phone user - particularly long distance. The broadband performance is ok. Nothing spectacular. They are on 8Mb but it's more like 1.5Mb 90% of the time.
