One obvious thing that everyone agrees on is to drive carefully when cold (obvious, but it amazes me how many people rag cars before they are warmed up). The next one is not to sit at one engine speed for a long period of time - lots of variation. My personal view is to use all of the rev range occasionally, but not thrash the life out of it all the time. You'll find the torque is such with that engine you dont need to thrash it anyhow...
