ncr666
We did Vegas last year and didn't think we would go again, needless to say we have booked to go back next year, along with Seattle and San Francisco. Definately recommend the Blue Man Group and 'O'. Papillon are great for Grand Canyon trips. (Book online) Wouldn't bother with a limo the taxis are fine. We stayed at Bellagio and had a deluxe view of the fountains, well worth the money when you can sit in the window and play the music through the tv! sidicks
I am just looking at booking tickets for shows - The 'O' show has been recommended by many people, but unfortunately it is not on when we are there in August. Currently it is likely that we get tickets for the Blue Man Group and Penn and Teller. I'm also planning a Grand Canyon trip which will probably involve flying by helicopter to the canyon via Hoover Dam, landing at the base of the canyon, having a boat trip and lunch on the Colorado river, being taken up to the West Rim by helicopter to see the Skywalk and then returning via helicopter to see the Las Vegas strip at night. Aside from that we'll just be touring the many hotels to see what they are like and obviously will spend some time gambling, but small stakes stuff only!! RobK
I personally preferred other Cirque shows to O. With O I thought the most impressive part was the stage itself rather than the actual acts. (BTW, if anyone is planning on seeing it, I would highly recommend going for a wee beforehand )
bells0
Just back from 5 nights in Vegas, loved it! - went 3 years ago as part of our Honeymoon, so this was an anniversary hol. Stayed at the MGM again, though spent most of our time in Ceasers as the drink service was very quick Wanted to see Penn and Teller, but they were on their hols, as was Lance Burton. So ended up seeing Steve Wyrick, who was pretty amazing [although a bit cheesy!!] - making a lear jet appear on stage was top notch!! Can't wait to get back again, love the place - for a few days of insanity, it can't be beaten. 1 thing we did notice this time around though, was the amount of time-share people trying to give us free shows for looking at their properties, got a tad annoying tbh. Must be a lot of new stuff being built that needs filling.
sidicks
[ QUOTE ] We used Maverick and they were excellent. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Papillon are great for Grand Canyon trips [/ QUOTE ] Well, after the above recommendations, I contacted both Maverick and Papillon with a ciuple of questions about the trips that they were offering. 2 weeks later, I'm still waiting for a reply................. I asked the same questions of www.GrandCanyonexpress.com (www.airvegas.com) and received an immediate response plus helpful follow-up, so I booked with them (Gloria and Stephanie were really helpful)!! on their Skywalk exclusive package. This includes Limo pick-up, flights to the Canyon by helicopter, a boat trip on the Colorado river, a BBQ, a horse-ride along the rim of the Canyon, a Skywalk pass and return helicopter flights over the Las Vegas strip before getting a Limo back to the hotel. As the 'O' show is not on while we are in Vegas, I've booked Penn & Teller instead. I can't wait !! Sidicks
