Alastair_A3
Ok i promised to help my son today with his corsa. First was a wash then dry. Now im no expert with polishing etc but i bought some Autogleam resin polish. Decided to try the bonnet first then see what the results were. Applied by hand in the garage then waited about 30 mins. Used a microfibre cloth to buff off the polish but the result doesnt seem to be as good as we were expecting, infact it pretty much looks the same! Have i done something wrong? steelwind101
Hello Alastair, Great to hear you have SRP, its a good product and im sure you will notice some difference, apply it to all the panels and you will probably see. I would say a couple of things might effect why you cant see much difference. Its been very overcast where i live and that really makes it hard for the cars to look "special". Also the bonnet faces mainly upward, that means its hard to tell whats there and whats not. Mostly the contrast of shaded light allows for the best look. So under lights indoors or out in plain sun wont do you and favours. The best thing to do is walk away and look at it at an angle. Alot of the pics people post are always looking down the sides of the car or side on to the roof or across the bonnet. Just to check its there see whats its like afters its rained, you should see beads. Give the whole car a go and see what happens. Geoff

Alastair_A3
according to the instructions its meant to be allowed to dry before buffing off?
steelwind101
Hi, Work the product in the to paintwork and remove when dry. That might be 5 mins that might 30 mins. Depends how much and what the weather conditions were like. I doubt you have done anything wrong. Geoff

I've used UDS which is similar to SRP just suposed to be better on dark colours anyway, just apply to small area foot squared and work in till its practically clear then buff off with MF towl. When you get your car (5 series) I think Clearkote RMG (glaze) is supposed to be really good. PS not that SRP isnt good
