Leak from Air Condition on Touran

Have just noticed on saturday on my old man's Touran that there is water leaking from under behind the centre console of air conditioning pipes. The Touran is brand new 07 sport model TDI, anyone why it's leaking water or is just condensing water, but it is soaking the interior carpet.

Yeah the car is going in for warrenty, but just asking if anyone had any simular problem before dealer gave some rubbish excuses!!!

if he was running with the aircon on it might just be the ice melting after you switch the engine off . i used to get a lot of people telling me there was water coming from under my clio when it was only the ice melting on the coller pipes . worth a look under the bonnet before he goes ranting to the stealers

A mate bought one for his wife, he has a wet carpet.

Its going back to the stealer, I'll ask what the problem is/was.

But the water is inside the car soaking the carpet, not under the bonnet or running out underneath.

Sounds like the drain tube for the condensor is kinked or not fitted correctly. I've had a few still tied up before now where they forget to drop them down into place at the factory.

Yep drain tube from condensor not connected properly, now fixed by dealer
