Or even better the page that would come up at the dealers on their computers. Cheers

Rustynuts
When (if) you do this, why not take pictures and do a walkthrough of the procedure, post it up here, then everyone can benefit from the job.

Anyway in the UK afte rthe swivel badge was found to be high cost VW replaced it with one with the hidden lock, initially there were blue / chrome but these were changed to Black / Chrome - so there will be a choice of colours for you. Swivel type: http://www.woofdoggy.com/images/Cars/Beetle/Silver_NB008r.jpg Blue / Chrome non Swivel: http://www.woofdoggy.com/images/Cars/Beetle/YellowNBr006.JPG Black / Chrome non Swivel: http://www.woofdoggy.com/images/Cars/Beetle/ONBCRear001.JPG htsh. pomme
Cool cheers, you dont know if you had to have the key in the lock to open the boot in the new ones do you? Cheers Andrew
shao_khan
The ones on the Beetle were operated via the central locking (there was a button in side for the boot) or with the key, Key wasnt compulsary. When they had the swivel type badge then you could open the boot with just a pull of the hidden handle, but this was lost when it was updated. TBH the swivel was kinda cool, and I would have thought there would have been enough NBs written off now to have picked up the parts at reasonable cost.
