kjp
I have a MK IV R32. Have a burning smell coming from near the wheels. Assume it might be the brakes. Anyone had this before. Been driving the car for over 3 years now and have never had this before. the smell has not gone away after over 3 hours sitting in my driveway. Car seems to drive ok though. Is this normal ? Dan32
Welcome to TSN. I'm no expert but it might be that the pads are stuck on causing them to overheat. When was the last time the brakes were checked/serviced/pads replaced. Would say they will smell hot if you have just driven it hard but not sure about 3 hours later! Getting abnormal amount of brake dust?

NO EXPERT? But but but, you're the head honcho at Biali motorsport, a world renowned, high performance car modification organisation, the best in the business, so I hear Not sure what the problem is here, but if its still smells after 3 hours could be be something burning on/in the exhaust? Is your heat shield over the exhaust still in place?
