[Audi A3/S3] Clutch Pedal Problem

Recently, the clutch pedal on my S3 stuck in the almsot fully engaged position with the clutch fully disengaged. Since I was moving when it happened, I was able to get the car out of gear and bring it to a standstill, but was then not able to engage any gears to move the car.

On seeking help from a more knowlegable person using the Audi Roadside Assistance, he managed to fix the problem by pulling the pedal back and advised me that the clutch pedal mechanism becomes stuck and that it is quite a common problem with VAG cars.

In three years of owning an Audi, this is not something I have experienced before nor heard about. Has anybody else?

glad your getting it sorted... i had exactly the same thing happen to me...

one thing to check when you have the new cylinder in... that there is no travel on the cutch pedal before the actual cylinder is engaged... you'll know what i mean as soon as you try it if they did leave any travel in it!
