Motormouth
I managed to pick up two dents on my C pillar, its an A3 3 door, dents are about 9 - 10inchs above the petrol cap, dents about 3 - 4 inches wide, quite shallow. Dont know how I got umm, looks like someone has punched the car Paint is not damaged. Has anyone had a dent in that area removed using the paintless dent / smart way ? Ive pulled some of the trim back and assuming they need to get access behind it to push the dent out I cant see away to access it so wondering if its actually possible. Cheers
Booster
I had a dent removed from a similar area on my old 1.8TQ when it was only two weeks old. Believe it or not I head butted it!! I had been to a mate's wedding and was very, very drunk and was running out of my old house's front door and tripped on the step and tw*tted my head straight into it like a fool. I woke up with a lump the size of an egg on my head the next day and I was informed by my housemates that i should have a look at my motor. The dent guy removed the wheel and arch liner and drilled a hole up through the wheel arch. You never would have known afterwards!

Tarmac_Terrorist
Hmm, novel idea but what about corrosion issues?
Motormouth
[ QUOTE ] Hmm, novel idea but what about corrosion issues? [/ QUOTE ] True, hopefully I would p/x by the time I need to worry though . One other thing is the dent is on the C pillar side where the petrol filler is, so drilling would be risky, bum will have to see what they can do. My partner (very soon to be ex now) has also in the last 15mins admitted it was her, she claimed she hit my car with her handbag in anger last night when a bit drunk and comming in from a night out. Her rational was she was angry because her friend had just got engaged and they had only been together for x years, we have been together for longer', well she will have to wait a very.......... long time now. Reminds me of a quote I read, not sure if it was on here but it goes 'if its t*ts or wheels its going to give you trouble' What would you do if your wife, gf, partner did that to your motor ? Booster
[ QUOTE ] Hmm, novel idea but what about corrosion issues? [/ QUOTE ] He filled the drilled hole with a rubber grommet after the job was done. The hole was no more than 15mm.
