P_G
Now we just have to wait for it to turn up in the TT and that'll be a cracking motor. More bhp and torque than the S3 2.0T engine too.
jimdiesel
Pay attention 007. Q7 = Longtitudional engine = conventional V arrangement. TT = Transverse engine = narrow angle V arrangement. This engine is not the same as the 3.6 currently fitted to US market Passats, and wont fit in the TT. P_G
Thanks Q, you stick to the technical and I'll seduce the women.
P_G
Realistically though if they have a transverse and longitudinal version of the 3.6 V6 around, albeit one in the states, you would hope that a transverse one to fit the TT / A3 / A4 wouldn't be too far away? jimdiesel
I believe a memo was circulated round the dealers yesterday regarding news on the 3.6 in the TT. I will find out more tomorrow.
Merlot
Tomorrow is now today. This is the hot news I am waiting on to convince me to take a TTR at launch. A 3.6 would make it as quick as my S4 Cab and make the transition painless.
aliAUDI
i work for listers audi-sorry to say that i have not heard of any memo being circulated around, but there are rumours that the 3.6 will be found in the tt
Merlot
Thanks. I wouldn't expect Audi UK to release the info until Dec/Jan time. Changing the subject, how are doing on R8 orders and do you have the launch date, spec yet?

Cupramax
This surprised me as well, I thought they would have used a development of the 3.2 in the A4/A6. Is the engine transverse in the Q?
jimdiesel
Nope its longtitudinal.
