  1. Hi all, I am after all 4 plastic door trims that run along the bottom of the doors. At the moment I don't have any on, and it looks quite unsightly with all the white fitments showing. (pic below) Does anyone have any for sale or know where I can get hold of some, ie: decent websites for Audi spares. I have been on a few that I found through google, but they all seem to be the 'fill your name in and get a million phone calls from scrapyards' type sites. Any advice much appreciated. Cheers. 2. Thanks for the replies boys. So do I need any special wiring looms or adapters if I was to buy an aftermarket head unit? Also, would I need some kind of fitting conversion, as the space my Gamma head unit takes up look smuch bigger than a standard head unit? Cheers again.
  3. Hi all, I have recently bought a '97 A4 B5, which I am very happy with, just need some advice from the Audi afficianados on this board please... First off, my car is fitted with the Gamma tape player, and I want to upgrade to a cd player. I was wondering if there are certain aftermarket cd players which are easier to fit than others? And is there a certain fitting kit I need, as the current space for the gamma player looks much bigger than a normal head unit. Also, can I connect a sony 6 cd multichanger straight into the gamma head unit? I also have some Xenon headlight bulbs I want to fit, is this easy to do? Im a bit of a noob when it comes to these things, so go easy on me! Thanks in advance. Martyn.
  4. Yeah I noticed that. Does anybody know of a good and widely used mk4 forum?
  5. Yay, my first response, so many views and no response, i thought I'd made the cardinal newbie sin of repeating a post!!!! Anyway, thanks for the help guys. I have managed to get holf of a temp sensor, and have a mechanic friend who is gonna clean the throttle body for me. If that doesnt do it, ill go back to the dealer for a nw throttle body i think. Will let ya know how i get on. Cheers again.
  6. Hi guys, and gals. Noob here. Got the car back from the dealership today (Mark 4 Golf GTI, 1.8i, 20v, T plate) as i had it plugged into the diagnostics machine. The car is idling roughly and cuts out when cold, and ten is really juddery when im decellarating. Anyway, the diagnosis: Coolant temp sensor needs replacing - £65 Air Mass unit replacing - £105 Throttle body clean - £61 (if that doesnt do it, £450 for new throttle body!!!) What do you lot think to this? Should I get a second opinion? Or just buy the parts myself and fit? If so, does anybody know where i can get the parts from, i live in the midlands, nottinghamshire way. Thanks in advance.
