    Loss of Power

I'll get the photos uploaded in the next day or two. New problem occured this morning, driving at about 35 in 4th gear and car starts jerking back and forth as it repeatedly lost and resumed power until I accelerated to a different speed ~ Still no warning light.

    Loss of Power

Thanks for the reply. Not being mechanicaly minded, can you tell me what the MAF sensor is and where I can find it. I did get a report and a copy was provided to the dealer. I aim to take the vehicle back once I've found more info on the subject. Also looking to test drive an equivalent car to see how it compares against mine ~ just to check I'm not imagining things. So saying that its does loose power for a split second or so and thats not my imagination.
  3. I have a 2.0 GT TDI 4Motion with 4k on the clock. Had it from new (June 05). Generally I've been pleased with the car especially its performance and handling. However, a couple of weeks ago the car started shuddering during acceleration and while standing idle. The problem seemed to correct its self once the ignition was turned off, but the shuddering started again shortly after. Whilst the shuddering hasn't returned, I've noticed that the car doesn't have the same performance/acceleration. VW assist came out and recorded a "sporadic fault on injector 4". The car was booked in and the ECU tested for faults again ~ none were found. VW have done various tests but claim there is nothing wrong. Has anyone had/heard of similar problem and can they suggest anything? I'm sure the car used to really kick at about 2000 RPM but now its more 3500 RPM and I have to put the foot to the floor, something I don't recall having to do previously ~ any readers have the same car and what rev does it go? Looking on the www I found one comment that the ECU records and sets the engine to a driving style. All week its up and down a motorway to and from work. Can the ECU set its self and can I reset it? Also, I’ve noted that the car appears to loose power for a second or two whilst at a steady speed or just as you accelerate from a steady speed ~ Any ideas why?
