  1. Hi, Can someone tell me how long can i leave my computer in Vista sleep mode?? Just worried that if i leave it too long something will over heat.
  2. They did a great job for me. They had to use some kind of fishing wire to cut throught the glue, to get the whole thing off. The worst that can happen if you leave it, is thatthe light mite go and blow out a fuse.
  3. Yeah, i had this problem as well, they replaced the whole break light for me and this is my 2nd one. Its a pain for them do as they have to take off the whole thing. Fingers cross my seem to be fine now.
  4. [ QUOTE ] I have just been quoted £173 - 10% for my first service at lakeside... SL88GTI How did you get it that cheap and was that for your first service on longlife?????? Thanks Kev [/ QUOTE ] No its not longlife. I had my 1st service bck in Sept'06, They have the price on a broad. Don't know if ity gone up, but it still should not be that expensive.
  5. My was £73, but did get a discount. The normal price would of been £94 that at Lakeside VW in Stoke.
  6. [ QUOTE ] Latest magazine speculation on the facelift is http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11623 [/ QUOTE ] You sure that is the facelift golf?? i'm sure i read from somewhere else that is was what the MK6 would look like. Anyway not sure about the front, but love the back of the car
  7. Had a call of the sale guy he said he give me an extra £250, so it now £17750. When is the facelift Golf out? and any idea of when the MK6 is out? I don't want swap the car and about 1 year later they bring out a new model.
  8. [ QUOTE ] I got offered £17k for an 18 month old A3 3.2 that cost 26k new, so i would say that is good. But then again it is against a new ED30. I would actually go for more if you are ready to buy. Go for £18500, they'll make plenty on the one you are buying and still shift your old GTI for more. [/ QUOTE ] About £18500 was what i was thinking of getting, but the sale person said £17500 was the most he could give.
  9. Right just been down to my dealer and they have offered my £17,500 thats 3 months down the line. Not sure if that good or not. What do you people think? How much does a remap cost in these days?
  10. [ QUOTE ] Very low mileage might help the price though. Personally, I'm amazed at only 5,000 miles in 18 months. To get the max price, I would offer it privately but with the proviso that the dealer will give you an agreed price if it hasn't sold privately by the time your next car is ready. Most dealers will happily accept that. Btw, what car next? Please let us know what you eventually sell for - It's all useful info. Good Luck [/ QUOTE ] I only enjoy my GTI on my days off which is not much lol... as i have a other small car for work. Looking at a GTI edition 30 this time with DSG. Haven't made up my mind yet as i not seen a GTI edition 30 up close or should i keep the car and wait for the MK6 in 2008. Anyway going to my dealer tomorrow as they have a edition 30 in the showroom still not sure about them wheels on it. Still not sure if i should sell it. It is the best car i ever had so far. Will let everybody know how i get on.
  11. [ QUOTE ] ....It would probably help someone give you a more accurate guesstimate if you stated the mileage. I don't have a clue of value but someone else will. [/ QUOTE ] lol....sorry for got the mileage. Its just done 5000 miles
  12. Hi Can anyone give me an idea of how much i can expect to get for my car which is 1 & half years old on part-ex with the specs below.
  13. [ QUOTE ] Hi guys, Any ideas where you can pick this stuff up, can you get it at Halfords? [/ QUOTE ] Ebay a seller call Scratchdoctor. This stuff is great and better than Meg's scratch x i think.
  14. I have noticed that the Luxury pack 1 now comes with reverse activated kerb view adjustment on passenger door mirror. My father had this in his bmw and i found it very useful. I was wondering can i have this install in my car somehow??
  15. [ QUOTE ] Hi, yes and yes. I used it to remove some light sratches and worked well! Haven't sed the sand paper on it yet for my deeper scratches. It is not like T-Cut so it can't do much harm! [/ QUOTE ] Did it get rid of the scratch completely? and does it need polishing after wards?
  16. Hi Anybody used this stuff? and is it any good?
  17. Can anyone recommend a easy and good car polisher, that i can get from the shops? I seen a few in Halfords and in Argos, but don'y know if they are any good. I will be using it for mainly on mirror scratches. Its the first time i will be using one of these things so any advice would be great. Cheers
  18. Anybody use this for scratches?
  19. I got condensation after wash the car on Monday, but have since dryed out.
  20. [ QUOTE ] I think most people who care about their cars feel this way. I always use my 1.4 Golf for the shopping runs etc. However, I still find myself performing a couple of laps of the car parks before settling into what I consider to be a safe spot (ie large end spaces not next to MPV's or 4x4's!)even in this car. I've always considered myself to be unique doing this but clearly others share the same 'PISS' DISORDER (Parking in safe spot) [/ QUOTE ] I have alway done the same thing
  21. I throught i would be posting it in the wrong forum, just wondering what you people think about it compared with your GTI.
