    Reg Plates

Your ok as long has you dont have to bend the plate too much. On the wifes car they are fine, but on mine,The front plate nearly fell off, so I had to put screws in it.
  4. [ QUOTE ] Nice torque, that's got to be about 25% up. [/ QUOTE ] Cheers. Next on the mod front is a new inlet cam and exhaust manifold hopefully it should be around 305bhp & 320ish lb/ft.
  5. Best car of the day was a mk2 golf running a r32 engine fitted with a stage 3 rotrex supercharger 489bhp & I think it was around 530nm torque. Amazing bit of kit.
  6. [ QUOTE ] You must have great fun trying to put that down on these wet roads. [/ QUOTE ] Tell me about it lol. One time I had it nearly sideways in the wet going to the Pod.
  7. Here's the results: Quite pleased with the results. 281.9BHP & 411.3nm (303lb/ft Torque They were what we expected. There should be a short clip of the run at the bottom. http://s27.photobucket.com/albums/c187/bjdeli/?action=view&current=Picture048.flv
  8. [ QUOTE ] Well? Did it blow up or something? Or maybe not perform how you thought? [/ QUOTE ] Just got back. I'm will post the results shortly. I'm just uploading a short vid clip but its taking its time.
  9. [ QUOTE ] Is anyone actually going to give us the results of the rolling road??!!! [/ QUOTE ] We are taking the car this morning (Saturday). I'll get graph etc posted up when we get back later today.
  10. Sorry to hear that you are thinking of selling your car because of the low life trying to steal it. I suppose nowdays it can happen anywhere. We`are lucky enough to be able to lock both cars (Evo 8 / astra VXR) away in the garage at night, Ok it still not 100% but it helps. and we take the car keys to bed with us. End of the day your family safety comes first I know if I was in your position I wouldnt think twice about getting rid. Good luck anyway hope it works out for you.
  11. Sorry mate had a efw beers...bhp
  12. [ QUOTE ] Ya reckon mate???? Well, I spose Aussie's is a Stage 2. OK so given that, I will deffo stick with my 197hp prediction [/ QUOTE ] Can I assume that when you say 197hp you are refering to WHP? to be honest I dont realy rate the Miltek exhaust. most of the power gains come from removing the Pre-Cat 8-10bnp.
  13. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I take it you know Aussie also Hes got a quick car I think its a simlar spec to Louise's car. [/ QUOTE ] Yep, Know Shane well... Now Louise, would that be "Little Miss" or "fletch" [/ QUOTE ] Small world (Little Miss)Didnt she have the first VPC remap? also know fletch, We was all at TRAX together.
  14. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] There's also the Thulby Astra 888 - Its a *cough* diesel and it's f'kin quick [/ QUOTE ] We test drove one before She got the VXR. Gareth at Thulby motors invited us over for a test drive in Lincolnshire. To be honest it wasnt any quicker than Sharons tuned 150CDTI that she had at the time. Thats why she opted for the VXR. [/ QUOTE ] How do you reckon your car will fair against Aussie's [/ QUOTE ] I take it you know Aussie also Hes got a quick car I think its a simlar spec to Louise's car. Weve all been to Santa Pod,but we have never got together on the sprint.
  15. [ QUOTE ] There's also the Thulby Astra 888 - Its a *cough* diesel and it's f'kin quick [/ QUOTE ] We test drove one before She got the VXR. 16. The car has torque steer but it aint as bad as people make out. Sharon uses it every day for work and she doesnt complain about it. Best thing about the remap is that with the sports button off she gets around 40ish mpg.But press and hold the sports button (disables all driver aids)and the car returns around 22mpg. Turbo lag well there aint any just pulls & pulls.
  17. [ QUOTE ] Well I'll guess that you'll be looking at around 260 and 260. Fab cars - I want a red one . How do you find the ride with the factory 19s? I've only drive cars with the 18s. [/ QUOTE ] The ride seems fine plus you can hit 60 in 2nd with the 19's you have to use 3rd with the factory 18's
  18. Yes OliH it was out of line... One of the rear rubber mounts needed adjusting.
  19. [ QUOTE ] That's a very nice pic . Makes me re-evaluate the Astra VXR though I don't much like the interior or rear end (from what I remember). Any bum shots? [/ QUOTE ] There you go bud.
  20. [ QUOTE ] You might wanna take the number plate out of the picture, matey. [/ QUOTE ] Good idea
  21. Ok guys & Gals...We are off to Powerstation on Saturday with the VR6 club on a rolling road shootout. Anyone want to take a guess what the wifes VXR will achieve. Thae spec is as follows: 237bhp 236lb/ft torque.std. The car has a stage 1 remap Pre-cat decat. Uprated airfilter. and a derestricted airbox. Other than that the car is standard.
  22. that really p***** me of they should beat them with big sticks, then crush there cars while they watched.
  23. Hi Riz good review there. The astra 150CDTI is a cracking motor. My wife had one (55reg)before she got her VXR. It was very nice to drive. I fitted one of our tuning boxes to it and the car really flew. The car produced just under 200bhp & 300ft/lb torque. and it totally transformed the car. I have a vid somewhere of the car on the rollers I'll try and dig it out and put a link up. I ran it at Santa Pod a few times and it was running low 15's which aint bad for an oil burner.
  24. Its not all about 0-60 0-100 times etc. Its the way the Evo delivers the power which is the key. There's no drama even in the wet.The steering gives the driver plenty of feedback, and the car feels extreemly well planted. Ok there a bit bland inside and quite expensive to run mine costs me around £3,700 a year inc fuel servicing ins etc. not cheap I know. but well worth it when you get behind the wheel. End of the day there are cars out there that will outgun a evo in a straight line. But point to point in a well driven car I very much doubt there would be many cars out there that could live with the cross coutry ability that these cars are capable of.
  25. I've heard quite a good few things about millers but around here is difficult to get hold of. I pay £19.99 for the NOS Racing Formula from our local Halfrauds but I dont think the gains justify the outlay.
