Yep read that thread and ALL fuses even on my amp, and relays double checked and tripple checked, ALL are fine. Going to an auto-electrician tomorrow he had similar problem with a bora a few weeks ago - he said it could be the main control unit in drivers door. Lets see. Will report back!

Took it to 3 local garages today all those who do auto-diagnostics. ALL 3 OF COMPUTERS STATED NO FAULTS FOUND!

Throttle body may be slightly loose. Or air intake hose may have a cut / gap in it and taking in too much air. Thats all i can think of!

Checked the relays both under footwell and secondry box under coweling by wipers... guess what no luck what so ever... Does anyone else have any ideas!

Fuses are fine, checked with haynes manual all of above seem to be connected to a relay.. God knows ill try something! For ref its a MK4 GOLF 1.6 SR 8 VALVE

Ok this is the best way to describe it. Some thing seriuosly weird is wrong, ALL courtesy lights dont work, windows will not go up/ down with switches (all), alarm LED doesnt flash, tail gate doesnt lock. All these happened at once, yet, c/l works normal and also windows go up and down with the key. Could this be one heck of an electrical fault or could it be a reley problem!

Vehicle: Golf 1.6 SR year:99 Looking for a remote centeral locking kit anyone know where i can get one and roughly how much they cost, currently have normal c/locking but getting bored of it! Please help!

After noticing all the wiring, fuses, relays etc were fine, i jdecided to chech to see if any of the bulbs around had shorted or started goin black, when i checked the passenger dipped headlight bulb it started to go black, Changed it and it hasnt been cutting out ever since, its been sweet!!!

You are not going to believe this. After ripping the car apart checking all wiring was fine, which it was, the fault was a faulty headlight bulb. This is seriously weird....

all are working fine, no problems there and also checked all relays, they are fine aswell

Its happening approximatley 7-8 times a day, the engine doesnt stall all the time as sometimes im driving and the engine is still ticking over, yet the clocks reset. Ive checked the earths and they are fine, terminals are clean and they are tight. Its seriously weird.

Make:VW Model: GOLF S Year: 1999 Engine: 1.6 Engine Code:AKL Mileage: 71000 Can anyone please help me??? The thing is my golf, keeps reseting all the clocks reset, (digi-time clock and mileage [unfortunatley not the total miles] lol) the battery is brand new, and all the terminals are clean and there is no corrosion what so ever, also sometimes the engine stalls even when out of gear. Can some one please tell me whats up and if they have over come a problem like this. Would be grateful Cheers. Jay
