Thanks for the reply but the procedure didn't work! Any other suggestions? Has anyone got the owner's manual to give me the actual procedure?

I wonder if anyone out there can help me. After a flat battery problem on my 1998 A6 2.5TDI when I now use the car the MPH2 speed warning indicator/beep keeps coming on when I exceed 15mph and I cannot reset it (I can only work out how to reset the MPH1 speed warning. I have mislaid my owner's manual so I don't know how to cure the problem. What I really need is someone with an A6 manual which covers the 1998 model to look up how to reset/cancel the MPH2 warning indicator/beep. Can anyone help?
