  1. OK, Quick update - i'm an idiot. I found a reset button on the underside of the right stalk (i've had the car for over 2 years and it's the first time I discovered it :s). That sorted the display problem. I'm still wondering how I can reset the service interval though if anyone can help
  2. Hi Guys. I had my 2001 A8 3.7 in for a service yesterday. When I picked it up I noticed that the service interval had not been reset and that the radio info was not being displayed. On closer inspection, I noticed that when I pressed the button to cycle through the MPG and fuel range etc, nothing was happening. The display is blank aside from the gear selection at the bottom. When I open my door, the little diagram comes up to show the doors open, also when I start the car it comes up that the cars needs serviced still so some of the functions are still working. I know this is a bit of a long winded explanation but it's quite tricky to describe. In a nutshell, even when I tick what I want displayed, it doesn't show. I tried the interval reset from the manual (holding in 0.000 and starting the engine then pressing check) and that didn't work. Does anyone have any ideas as the guy who serviced it lives a considerable distance from me. Thanks.
  3. Cheers mate, already had a look at the thread. I just don't have one to retain! Can only find one for about £100 from the states.
  4. I would personally go for a petrol above a diesel any day of the week, but if I had buy a diesel, it would no doubt be the 4.0 V8.
  5. I have just sourced them here... Audi D2 A8 FWD 3.7 Exterior Body $94.71 + $54 P&P A bit steep for a piece of plastic, but it may just have to do.
  6. Good man. Happy for you. I just had a new water pump, belts and thermostat put into mine and she's running like a champ. However, as an anti-christmas treat i've somehow lost the foglight grille on the driver side and I can't find a replacement one anywhere
  7. Thanks Mike I already checked there earlier. The online shop is currently down, and the search engine is bringing up nothing.
  8. Sorry to bump the thread guys. I arrived home today from shopping with the missus to find that I had lost the fog light grill on the driver side. I have a 2001 3.7 Quattro sport - it's a 1 piece part unlike the one Oli had on his. Just wondering where the best place to get a replacement one is? I have dropped an e-mail to a8parts to see if they have any, but i'm not hopeful as they don't have them up on their ebay page. Any ideas guys?
  9. I have mine on company insurance policy, but for a laugh I went shopping for a quote for my 2001 3.7 A8 Quattro. The cheapest was £1700, the most expensive was around £300 with most of the other brokers refusing to touch me. Who said being young was a good thing?
  10. I had this on mine (2001 3.7 Quattro) and i stuck the diagnostics on it. Turned out to be an O2 sensor. Getting it fixed while she's in getting the water pump and belts replaced.
  11. Wow! You guys are lucky. I live in Belfast and got a quote to replace Water Pump and all the belts of £700 all in. Am I being ripped off or is that about fair?
