I have to say the RS4 is a great looking car, I had a sprint blue one on order and cancelled it. I had to step back and look at my situation and living on a small island driving a handful of miles a day I thought it crazy to spend almost 50K on a car which would lose so much money. So I sold my M3 and have invested in property. Swore I would never buy another car until I could put 50K in a shredder and not be bothered! I now drive a suzuki swift! My advise would be to go for it if you can afford it as they simply are the most car you will get for 50K.

To be honest with all the RS4 cars on the Market and it coming to year end I wouldnt be surprised if more discount could be negotiated.

Rather you than me throwing £720 a month into a car. Thats a mortgage!!

Just had a hunt around and found 36 for sale on the audi approved used vehicles, 11 for sale on pistonheads and 70 odd cars on autotrader.co.uk. Is it me or is this insane for a car thats only really been out for 6 months. Whay are there so many on the market? Very good news for buyers to get one next year, I have a feeling that used prices are going to be hit hard, seems the car was a flop! Shame really as its a very nice car.

Brand new unregistered below cost, this car has not really sold like Audi expected has it? I know several people including myself who backed out of the car, my reasons were house purchase but looking at it I am actually glad I never took it. I think they will take a big hit and its a shame as its a cracking car. Im going to sit tight and look for an RS6 in the spring, by then there should be good examples below 30K which sounds better than the 50K plus for a new RS4 thats going to loose thousands as soon as its driven off the forecourt.

Here is an update of my progression - I have found an S3 in Avus silver with 17000 miles on the clock and is an 02. Very clean with no marks and its on the dealers forecourt for £14.995 not sure if that is a sensible price or not. It would mean I could free up about 15K for now which is perfect then come March I should be back on my feet and ready to take delivery of my new RS4. What do you gents think.

Just been in contact with my Audi garage where I have an RS4 on order and they have informed me after contacting Audi in Milton Keynes they will not be sending letters or Hardback books out to customers just yet only contacting people to offer the track day. I am somewhat confused as I seem to be getting told one thing and yet some of you have received dates from Audi and a plush bard back RS4 Book. Whats going on?????

Probably the best option is a good clean S3. Low running cost's, good fuel consumption and are pretty quick. Wouldnt mind picking up a late 03 Avus one. Had thought about a cooper s as the bottom seems to have dropped out of the mini market with used ones going pretty cheap and there are loads to choose from.

B5 S4 sounds like a plan as I was behind one the other day and it was as fast as my M3. I think it had been tinkered with. Anyone know of a good one for sale or where I should look. Audi.co.uk has one for sale in the used car locator.

A sad day has come, I have to sell my Carbon Black M3 to free up some funds to do the House and Mortgage thing. I want to replace the M3 with a half descent motor, I have previously had a TT and an S3. The S3 looks like a good option as I could pick one up for around 15K. What other car could I get for that cash with nice comfort and good performance. Cant beleive I have to sell the M3

Anyone out there in the know on Digital Camcorders. I am looking to buy one, no more than £500. I was going to go for one without a tape and had found that the new JVC looks like a good buy(JVC Everio GZ-MC100EK Digital Media Camera). Can anyone recommend a good small tapeless digi camcorder. Well Im going to place a deposit for an RS4 Saloon. Currently in an M3 but to be honest its not as nice as an Audi. Had an S3 prior which was built to a better standard. Dont get me wrong the M3 puts a big smile on my face but I now cant wait to get in the RS4. Going for sprint Blue, I think its a lovely looking car I just hope the production becomes limited and they hold their value.

I am about to place a deposit for a saloon and saw on one forum that a bloke was going to sell as soon as he received as he thinks they will be in demand, as yet they have not said it will be limited but the M5 wasnt going to be limited but now it is. Do you think if I took a October delivery that its a car that could be sold for a few extra pounds if it doesnt meet my expectations? Cheers

Im sure I read on this forum that a DVD player and the TV in motion lead was available from a retailer as a package but I cant find the thread? Does anyone know where I could get such a package? Thanks

I just bought a Jan 2004 M3. Should this car have the upgraded SMG Box? Is there an easy way for me to check or does it have to go to the dealer?

Does anyone know if this forum receives discount from anyone selling the 19" replicas? I am keen to purchase some and dont really want to be ripped off by BMW to purchase the genuine wheels. I have been told that some of the replicas out there are actually exactly the same as the BMW wheels for quality etc...Is this true?

When my S3 went in for a service I asked for an S4 and got to use one they had for sale, only trouble is you wont want to give it back and yours will feel a bit sluggish after driving the 4.2 V8.

Looks more like an S4 wih the RS6 alloys. Mind you if you use the configurator on Audi.co.uk you can configure a new S4 in Sprint Blue with RS6 Alloys!!My S3 is in Sprint blue and I dont think you can beat the colour.

I have heard so many stories and am beginning to loose hope. Trouble is I am in the market to buy now. My warranty runs out in March and there just isnt any new S or RS cars to buy. S3 and S4 is late 2005 and Audi have not announced the S3 engine but I have a feeling its the 2.0T which wont really be any different from the current engine. I dont think the RS4 will be seen till 2006 and well RS3 2007/8 if ever. I think my best option is to purchase an 04 S4 then into an RS4 in 2007.

I think Audi would want the more expensive model to sell very well after ploughing a lot of money into the restyling of it and I'm sure they care very much. Don't change your career to Marketing!!!

I did mention V6 and 330bhp and they said no way as it was too close to the S4 bhp. When he said that I did have to agree as the S4 sales would take a hit surely. If though it does come in V6 with 330bhp you will have my order. Fingers are crossed.

I did have a listen while watching their Plasma and the salesman kept saying, "There is just no comparison with the Panasonic" I must say I couldnt see any difference. The sound system was good but I didnt think it was worth the price Tag. You have all just told me what I was thinking. Panasonic Plasma's, Denon or Arcam seperates and B&W speakers.
