Hello All, just replaced my blower fan motor assembly with nice used one from a8 parts. Fan was very noisy but no codes in vag-com,then i stripped it out drivers side impeller damaged ?? (see attached pics) anyone seen this before / any idea as to cause of failure.Heater box not been apart for long time 2 x screw heads sheared off requiring repair & top mesh was installed ok regards Adrian

hi all, just done the aftermarket radio remote locking mod to my ir equipped car.Does anyone know which type of immobilizer transducer chip is used on immobilizer 1 i think it's a " Megamos Crypto ID48 transponder "can someone verify this for me.tried a couple of ALA locksmiths but they arn't interested in supplying & programming as car TOO OLD !!! regards Adrian:ffs:

hi All, sorry if i'm going over old ground,searched forum & couldn't find an answer to my query regarding fitting aftermarket hid to dip beam on a 1996 QS. According to my owners handbook dip is monitored for bulb failure ? is this correct & if so what happens when a hid conversion kit is fitted ?.Is there an extra device (capacitance or resistance module) required for each lamp. i have looked at some A8 95> hid kits all seem to just have ballasts,lamps & wiring. Hi, did you find source for immobilizer 1 chips, and can you program them i'm looking at doing the remote locking upgrade with folding key fobs. regards Adrian

To all who took the trouble to read my post,after a quick search on this site. I appears the only fault is ME,1996 car 4speed box !! OOP'S i thought they were all 5 speed if Tiptronic. Anyway think i will buy the car if 4 speed is correct for model year,it's the cleanest 14 year old car i have ever seen. Regards Adrian

Hi all, i,m new on here as i am looking at buying a 1 owner 1996 a8 4.2 Quattro sport,car very very clean with loads of history drives spot on except,when in tiptronic mode only 1 to 4 light up (no 5) seems to drive ok. has anyone any idea's what may be wrong regards Adrian
