Hi guys, I have a 52 plate 1.9Tdi 130 quattro sport avant and I am looking to upgrade both the lights and the brakes before winter really kicks in.. I have purchased a brand new set of front headlight units, but can anyone recommend a good HID/Xenon bulb kit to go with them? Have seen loads of kits available on places like e-bay, with widely varying prices... I am also looking to replace the front and rear pads and discs and flexi hoses, normally I would replace anything major like this with genuine parts as brakes are something I don't want to get wrong or scrimp money on, so again any suggestions as to a good quality replacement would be more than helpful... As the title says guys, looking for someone who has both front and rear bumpers for a s-line A4 B6 model.... Any colour....

Thanks for the advice guys, I know have a set of side skirts and lower door mouldings from e-bay, so can I just confirm that a rear B7 bumper will NOT fit a B6 as I have heard they are the same.... Cheers again... Steve

Cheers for that, Don't want to do any fibreglass/bodyshop work other than painting, just want the car to look like a later s-line model, hence looking for genuine audi parts... Steve

Ok, sorry for any confusion over this one guys, I am aware that B6/B7 front bumpers are not inter-changeable, they are completely different, what I am trying to work out is whether the side skirts/rear bumpers can be swapped straight over without mods???? Other than that, can anyone advise where I would be able to get a full s-line kit from other than a stealer, I am aware that both votex and Abt did kits for these cars as well, in fact I think the Abt kits could be specced from dealers, however the Abt website doesn't even mention the B6 model anymore.... Morning guys, Quick question, I have a 2003 B6 tdi quattro avant sport but I am loking to upgrade the bodywork to s-line type, I know some of the parts from the b7 are the same such as the side skirts and sills.. However, will a B7 RS4 bumper fit without any mods? Plus if anyone has or knows anyone with any s-line parts for sale, pm me please! Cheers Steve

Relieved to find out TMC is not required, cannot find any units for sale anywhere and dread to think how much Audi stealer would want for one, it's something I can add at a later stage....probably at the same time as I install cruise and full DIS... I take it the lighting wire you are talking about would be the one that gets a switched 12v when the lights are turned on, which should be one of the cables at the back of the headlight switch? Any suggestions as to where the GALA signal can be brought in from? I have now installed everything apart from the unit itself, just need to sort out the wiring....

Thanks for the info PetrolDave, Have seen from another forum that I can just run a 12v from pin7 to pin5 to take care of the 12v issue, so that's that sorted... With regards to the lights, can I take a feed from the headlight switch to the relevant pin to sort the light issue out? However I have no idea where to get a GALA signal from? Any suggestions? I went for a RNS-D as it was stupidly cheap from e-bay compared to an RNS-E, not worried about how hard install is..... Steve

Thanks Tipex.... will try and work out which is the switched live from the chorus unit and swap cables over... OK the rest of you guys, update on this install.... After spending several hours trawling the net, it looks like I need to run 3 wires, 1 for the GALA connection, 1 for when I turn my lights on, and another switched live.... So the question is, where do I run the wires from? which wiring terminal blocks and pin positions do I need? Secondly, is it absolutely imperative that I add a TMC tuner box? I am not particularly fussed about having the directions come up on the DIS as I don't have a full DIS system yet anyway (next on the list of to do items along with cruise...) Can I just plug in the GPS and radio ariels and use these for the time being? Cheers Steve

Hi guys, Apologies if this info has been posted previously, but I have searched various threads and I am getting confused... I am retro fitting RNS-D sat nav into my 52 plate 1.9 TDI quattro sport avant, previously had concert radio cassette.... The car is stripped out and I have a new double din console to go in, however, before re-assembling I decided to check the new unit, and have the following problems.... 1. Constant tone from the speakers , volume control makes no difference .. 2. System not picking up satellites, even though I have new GPS aerial ... 3. System not remembering code, every time I turn off and then re-switch on, need to input code again.... So the questions I have are... 1. I know I have to configure the unit with the vehicle systems, will this cure all the above problems... 2. Do I need to buy a TMC tuner? 3. Do I need to do any re-wiring at all??? Any help gratefully appreciated... Steve

Cheers for that S4.. If the stalks arrive before the weekend, will do it at the same time as I retrofit Satnav, again acquired from e-bay, gotta love it...

teame.... quick question, I have just purchased a complete set of stalks off ebay, indicator & wiper with DIS control as my B6 A4 didn't have DIS control, how easy is it to swap these over and is any re-wiring required? Do I need to remove steering wheel? Once I've done this I have a friend who can code it in for me.. Any help appreciated....
