  1. Has to be my 205 GTI 1.9, 1990 on a G. It was the first car I'd owned that didn't need an MOT and I nearly made a fool of myself by asking where the certificate was when it was handed over to me! It's the only car I've had that I'd like to buy again but I'm a bit scared that it might seem crap now and spoil my memories.
  2. Does anyone know if they are boing to release this with the DSG box? - it only says manual in the article.
  3. Whose is the Spider Jon? I'm sure I've seen that plate on something else around here.
  4. I've just had a letter from Porsche (I expressed an interest in the Turbo last year) and the basic price is £97,840. They want £10,000 by the 28th February to secure an early spot - I won't be having one of those then!
  5. I really would recommend getting a specialist motoring solicitor. I got caught at 123 mph on the M61 about 2 years ago. I was in a similar postion to you, having never had a motoring conviction, and managed to get away with a 21 day ban. The solictor that I got was fantastic in court, I'm sure that if it hadn't heen for him I'd have got a lot longer ban.
  6. If the car has the proper plastic-backed racing style seats the seat cushions are just held in with velcro and so can easily be removed, this gives an extra few inches head room. Mine has a sunroof which takes up headroom and my mate who's 6' can drive it with a full face helmet on.
  7. P1LOT is from my area (leeds). He must keep a plane or helicopter at LBA because it's quite often parked near the private hanger up there.
  8. Does anyone else think that the arches look way too big for the wheels?
  9. [ QUOTE ] You know what.. i'm quite tempted by a secondhand X5 4.6 Dave [/ QUOTE ] Just bought one of those myself! Fantastic car but has a bit of a drink problem - I'm averaging 17 mpg and that's taking it steady...
  10. [ QUOTE ] Why can't Audi fit these to their cars, they are bloody brilliant if you ask me! [/ QUOTE ] I might be wrong but I think Ford developed and own the rights to heated windscreens and only allow their own brands to use it (some Astons have it I think).
  11. Talking with the police on the hard shoulder of the southbound M1 around J25 at 2:30 this afternoon. Hope it's nobody from here, nice 5 spoke wheels though!
