Has to be my 205 GTI 1.9, 1990 on a G. It was the first car I'd owned that didn't need an MOT and I nearly made a fool of myself by asking where the certificate was when it was handed over to me! It's the only car I've had that I'd like to buy again but I'm a bit scared that it might seem crap now and spoil my memories.

Does anyone know if they are boing to release this with the DSG box? - it only says manual in the article.

I've just had a letter from Porsche (I expressed an interest in the Turbo last year) and the basic price is £97,840. They want £10,000 by the 28th February to secure an early spot - I won't be having one of those then!

I really would recommend getting a specialist motoring solicitor. I got caught at 123 mph on the M61 about 2 years ago. I was in a similar postion to you, having never had a motoring conviction, and managed to get away with a 21 day ban. The solictor that I got was fantastic in court, I'm sure that if it hadn't heen for him I'd have got a lot longer ban.

If the car has the proper plastic-backed racing style seats the seat cushions are just held in with velcro and so can easily be removed, this gives an extra few inches head room. Mine has a sunroof which takes up headroom and my mate who's 6' can drive it with a full face helmet on.

P1LOT is from my area (leeds). He must keep a plane or helicopter at LBA because it's quite often parked near the private hanger up there.

Does anyone else think that the arches look way too big for the wheels?
