Finally got round to taking some pictures of the new car. Very pleased with it. A huge thank you to Gareth at Bespoke for saving me a fortune on the finance compared to the main dealers. Already covered 4K miles and just given its first coat of Collinite wax!

I have just sold my Audi A3 2.0TDI Sline and have put a deposit on a ex demo 330i M Sport Coupe. The dealer has been trying long and hard going through various ways to finance the car. They are currently suggesting PCP over 4 years with the plan to get me out of the car in 2-3yrs. I am currently doing about 20-25K miles a yr. Any help or advice welcome as I have to sign everything on Thursday. Look forward to posting some pics on Friday!

My Audi dealer is offering me nearly £14,000 already based on the immaculate condition and spec, and he is confident that he can sell it on their forecourt for nearly £15,500. I owe £15,400 on the finance so am trying to limit my loss by selling privately to someone who appreciate a well look after example of a fantastic car. It up on sale on ebay and autotrader and I know people doing a low-average mileage, will do very well for purchasing it, given the cambelt and the service has already been taken care of. Thanks for your help and everyone comments. My dealer keep coming back with better deals!!! Think I will let him try a bit harder for a couple of days. I have told him unless he can do a fantastic deal on the maintenance for 30k miles a year, I'm not keen. I have also said that I want to get the car ASAP. He is currently looking in getting a cancelled build slot or something. Regarding MPG, I read on another thread that 32/33 was possible if driving carefully???

Looking to buy a new Audi S3 with the following extras; Exterior colour Sprint Blue, pearl effect First aid kit Front centre armrest 3-spoke leather multi-function Sports steering wheel flat bottom with ‘S’ emblem Bucket seats (front) BOSE sound system DVD Satellite Navigation system Plus GSM mobile telephone preparation located in front centre armrest iPod console Has anyone got the Bucket seats? Are they going to be comfortable if I'm doing 30k miles a year? Is it a good choice? Would anyone recommend any other extras? I have asked my dealer to quote for the above car with full maintenance package for 30k miles a year over 3 years on either a PCP on contract hire basis with a minimal deposit of either 3 payments or £1000. If says that it audi cannot offer a maintenance package due to it being an ‘S’ model – Is this true…? Can they also include tyres? Anyone know what sort of figure I should hold out for per month? Sorry for all the questions, but any help would be much appreciated.

WOW. I wasn't expecting it to be that low! Makes my dealer first quote seem good. Is that taking into account the extras such as sat Nav and Xenons? I have told the dealer I will only change for an S3 if they can get me cost neutral on the outstanding finance.

Currently they are offering a stupidly low figure! Also my Audi dealer said that they cannot offer a maintenance package because it is an ‘S’ model – is this true?

Yeah the gear surround has really grown on me. Filled the car up yesterday night and the DIS said I could do 620miles!

Glad your pleased with your car! I feel the same way about mine. Its excellent! Xenon lights look brilliant and the silver and black combination look fantastic with silver paint. Couldn't wish for anything better. Already done 400miles since Tuesday afternoon. Only just started using the DSG....... engine pulls away like nothing else (3.2 excluded!) Roll on the weekend and some better weather.

I bought an s line badge for the grill from VAG parts. Think it cost about £16. Cant wait to fit it- when I finally get my car on the 1st!!!

Hey Kam, When you saw you car, can you remember if it had the new gear surround on it (which I've seen appearing on the some of the non S-line DSG sportbacks) as I rather liked the old chunky metal version?

Glad to hear other people are in the same boat. I’m also waiting to the 1st for the new reg. Dealer asked me if I wanted to go and see it, but I told him I would rather wait and see if all ready and shiny on the 1st and plus it will only make me more frustrated that I didn't just take immediate delivery. They have already fitted the chrome exhausts. Roll on the 1st.... it seem to be taking forever. Only another 1 wk and 2 days to go….! My A3 Sline TDI DSG was built in wk 4 and arrived at the dealer last Monday. I have asked them to keep it until the 1st March for an '05' plate as its only a couple of wks. They are going to put the chrome exhaust on it, so it already to pick up on the 1st. (Only 18 days to go - not that I'm counting!!) -------- Awaiting A3 S-line TDI DSG with.... Great review - the car sounds great. Just one thing I noticed, have audi changed the DSG box as is looks different to the one I have ordered in my new 2.0TDI S-line 3Dr or is it just different in the sportback?

No I disagree. I had the same tough decision myself a few weeks ago when I ordered a A3 2.0TDI Sline. I think it depends on the exterior colour. I chose metallic silver and in which case the Silver/ Black seat look fantastic. Saw one in the garage and loved it. Apparently you can get some kind of Scotch-Guard protection for them, which guarantees against stains. I looked at the black/black trim and it just didn’t look that sporty or different. Silver/black looks brilliant with the piano finish. If you going for the black/black make sure you get the aluminium trim and the interior lights pack to brighten up the surroundings.

Is it just the Sportback that these new engines will be available in?

Thanks for the information. I have just had a look at the German Audi site. Works out at about £7 inc postage. Very good value! I was prepared to pay this guy on ebay £16.00!! I just need to work out how to order the thing in german. Does anyone speak German?!

Does anyone know where I can buy a S-line keyring like the one in the picture? I'm not getting my car until Christmas but am already getting ready!! I saw the keyring advertised on a US website for $20 + $10 for delivery and wonder if anyone knew if and where I could get one in the UK.
