The RS6 is overall an expensive to run performance car; obviously an excelent car but expensive all the same. Common costs include:- 4 x tyres at around £1000 per set... every 10K miles approx 4 x breaks (the price quoted above sounds cheap). petrol @ around 15 - 20 MPG Servicing (not sure how much, haven't paid for one on mine yet) Belt change every 40K miles I think £500 - £800. These are just the costs I can think of at this time, I'm sure other people can add further running costs! Not to take account of the deprication and loss of interest on the capital....

Yes the RS6 has the CD-Changer installed at present.

Has anyone installed the Phatnoise into an A6/S6/RS6. I am in the US next week and they are significantly cheaper in the US, so I plan to bring one back and install it. Can anyone give advise? You will be very luck to sell this on ebay currently; two Audi S4's have been on Ebay in the past week... Both did not reach there reserve pricing... (including mine!). Previous car was a manual... The RS6 feels amazing with those paddle controls; the power in "Sport" mode is crazy. Hopefully I'll get to bring it on a meet soon.

I have just made a deal on an 2003 RS6 in blue.... Can't wait to pick it up.... Time to say good bye to the S4; it's served me exremely well over the previous year. New car has already got the MTM stage 1 mod pushing out 500Bhp. Drives extremely smoothly with more than enough power for me! Can't wait to pick it up on Tuesday 30th August. Terry

Had a very small drive yesterday in the rain; it felt pretty heavy... Although it was definately quick in a straight line.... Currently looks like a bad idea; maybe I should be looking for an RS6?

I am considering changing my S4 and have been looking at an S type R Jaguar (supercharged V8). Does anyone on here know anything at all about this car? Am I being stupid considering this car? I seem to be having the itchy feet car change fever. My S4 V8 is a brilliant car and am having problems explaining why I want to change! All comments welcome! Terry
