  1. Gonna check mine out, if it has one. Should have a ton of dirt as the climate i live in is very dusty.
  2. Does the above only apply to diesel power?
  3. Hey, Ive been thinking for a while of upgrading my cars dampers, as it feels too soft for spirited driving, and to be honest i dont know if i have the sport setup. Bear in mind that i have 18" alloys in the car, and it just want to make the drive sportier, but without compromising too much on comfort. Any ideas?
  4. It happened with my B6, turned out to be the coolant temperature sensor. Hope it helps you!
  5. I have driven the car 10,000 miles in 14 months, and the brakes havent lit up yet, but the agency here just always says that the discs need to be replaced, so in case if required, i thought that i would upgrade to the cross drilled.
  6. Ok, i checked my service booklet and found the following: LY7R/LY7R N1H/LE 1KD 1LT. So it seems the news is bad eh?
  7. Hi, I saw a few posts back that somebody has cross drilled discs on his B7. My car (B6, 2.4) is going in to the dealers in a few days time, and im curious if anybody knows the relevant part numbers as the sole agent here is a real wa**er!! Would really appreciate it.
  8. I have an A4, 2,4 B6. It doesnt really give you that much power, but it gives a nice sound. Anyways, its best i dont fit it, especially since Dubai is extremely dusty.
  9. Hullo, Anybody have any experience with K&N Flat panel air filter ? http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=33-2209 Ive used them before on Fiats/Alfa's and ran fine, but maybe could damage the MAF sensor? I have a 2.4 B6.
  10. They should be able to find out pretty easily. Its cheap anyways, approx $250.
  11. would they fit a 2.4 b6? Is there any part number for it and the pads?
  12. The MAF went with me due to dubai having a dusty climate. The car would be lumpy at idle and there would be flat spots, but you would easily notice the rpm moving up & down.
  13. My 2002 2.4 B6, really has crappy standard brakes. The discs are so delicate and i have already changed them a while back and they are due to be changed, keeping in mind that i have driven the car for approx 12,000 miles in this period. Not sure about going for an aftermarket brake disc system. I usually use the car on highways, and not willing to pay big money for all the conversions. I used to use Ferodo brakes before, any suggestions?
  14. What if its automatic? Can you elaborate further?
  15. No water in the oil, and no oil in the coolant! Plus no leaks on the driveway. No problem about the catalyst. Its not required by law in Beirut!!
  16. Hi, Is there any place where the sell nice A4, B6 floor mats online? My car is crystal blue, with the light beige interior. What colour is recommended for the floor mats? Thanks
  17. The coolant was newly replaced and was in perfection condition.
  18. Hi, I have a 2002 A4, 2.4 (B6) with 18"wheels riding on 235/40/ZR18 tires. I want to align the cars tires, but am worried that the alignment shop might not have the proper settings in their computer database. Does anybody have a document which would highlight the crucial settings? Would appreciate it!!
  19. Hey, My sister has a 2003 A4 1.8 with the sport package. The car was purchased brand new and its causing some problems after 60,000 kms. A year back while she was driving the whole gearbox assembly fell of its mounts. After a lenghty fight with the Sole dealer, it was replaced free of charge. Recently i had the chance to drive her car during my easter holidays and found the following problems: 1. Oil Consumption: Its spending approx. 0.5L/100 Kms, even though the car doesnt smoke, it has no leaks, and it is serviced every 5,000 kms by the dealer. 2. The Multitronic Gearbox: While trying to accelerate from the ground it is too SLOW!!!! I have a 2.4 and there is a big difference. All A4's pause for a second as if the gearbox is spooling for power, and then it takes off with a very good throttle response. So while driving, when the gearbox wants to upshift, it feels as if there is an unsmoothness in the trasition. Could this be due to the gearbox needing to be electronically adjusted ( if there is such a thing??!)? Would appreciate the help!!! Thanks
  20. I doesnt matter, as long as it looks good, suits my dash and works with my multifunction controls
  21. Hi, I have an A4 B6, fitted with the chorus head unit, and am thinking of replacing it, as the buttons on it are peling, and the stereo cannot read mp3s with the CD changer. I have to add that i have the steering controls on the steering wheel for the radio. Can anybody advise me what is a good choice, that would work with the steering buttons?\ THanks
